FTSL are the UK and Ireland distributors for the MPT product range from CableTest Systems Inc , and as such can provide a full set of products and services on the MPT range. CableTest System Inc, designs, and manufactures a full range of leading edge test equipment used in the verification of backplanes, connectors, electrical wiring, cabling systems, and complex interconnection products. CableTest equipment is capable of providing both low voltage and high voltage tests. Low voltage tests ensure the static reliability of the power cord or wiring harness, whereas a high voltage (HIPOT) test checks the long-term reliability by testing for leakage and breakdown.

Mixed high and low voltage application for selective HiPot and low voltage testing of discrete points on the same card. Floating ground testing which allows high-voltage diagnostics of wiring assemblies in aircraft, rockets and other equipment containing explosive or flammable substances. Bi-directional testing to find all low voltage faults and their locations in a single scan. Functional testing flexibility enabling users to evaluate continuity, isolation and breakdown in complex, multi-component wiring systems that may include: black-boxes, capacitors, diodes, lamps, inductors, relays, resistors, shielded cable termination, solenoids, switches and transistors. The MPT is available in four distinct configurations: the MPT-1000, the MPT-1000T, the MPT-5000 and the MPT-5000L. Each offers a wide range of switching and stimulus options.

MPT Bulk Wire Tester
MPT Bulk Wiring Testers use computer controlled, state-of-the-art switching architecture to evaluate and test reels of bundled cable lengths up to 30,000 feet in length for continuity, dielectric strength, insulation resistance and capacitance with stimulus up to 20 kV.
The system comes complete with 50-point quick-connect mobile test fixture and 10Khz LCR meter. MPT Bulk Wiring Testers can be upgraded to support 100, 150 and 200 point quick-connects.
The MPT provides a powerful combination of high output current and measurement accuracy with virtually unlimited expansion capability and extremely fast test-cycle time, using a mass HiPot algorithm.

The MPT's switching architecture allows high voltage testing at high speed. All switch points are individually addressable and latchable - from any switchpoint, to any other, in either direction. This allows for Mass HiPot testing of complex wiring harnesses and backplanes to ensure that product test time is minimized. When product failure occurs, advanced MPT failure diagnostics minimize rework time and make fault identification simple and quick. A wide range of switchcards allows every type of testing from high voltage buffered switching to instantaneous discontinuity detection and high-speed, solid-state switching.
