4040 Multimode Flying Probe Test Platform
The SPEA 4040 Multimode flying probe test platform is the most advanced flying probe test system currently available in the market utilising linear air bearing technology. This advanced capability enables traditionally slow flying probe testers to be a drop in replacement for BON solutions, the 4040 Multimode accelerates at 10G with a maximum speed of 5m/sec. Design and built for both speed and accuracy, the 4040 Multimode can probe onto both current and next generation component pads, such as 0201 and 01005 as well as ultra fine pitch IC's, future proofing any investment against future needs.
The 4040 Multimode has SPEA's third generation operating and programming environment, Leonardo the programming of the tester could not be simpler, utilising CAD and BOM data, programs can be developed and debugged in one day.
The Multimode can be upgraded with a number of options including:
Boundary Scan Device programming Optical test Power testing Functional testing Digital vector test IC open pin test Vacuum fixture Underside access
The 4040 Multimode family of products is made up of the following solutions:
Multimode SBL (Shuttle Board Loader) the only Flying Probe Tester available in the market, to utilise a shuttle loading un loading facility, giving maximum flexibility to handle odd formed PCB's without handling edges. |
Multimode MBL (Manual Board Loader) all the advantages of the shuttle board loader with the ability to have underside access. This enables the tester to have underside probes, cameras, Vectorless test etc. |
Multimode IBL (In Line Board Loader) this is the in line version of the 4040 Multimode, and is fully SMEMA compatible to fit into and existing line. It offer the same advanced test capability as the MBL with the advantages of a conveyor loading system rather than manual loading. The system can be configured with top side only test or both top and bottom. |

Multimode MA (Multimode Automation) All the capabilities of the IBL configured for stand alone "lights out" operation. The MA can be utilised with one or 2 cassette pcb loading un loading system to make this a true stand alone system. |

Multimode BP (Back Plane) as the name would suggest this is an enhanced version of the Multimode capable of testing active or passive backplanes by probing both the connector pins as well as all device's pads. The system is capable of transporting pcb's up to 25Kg in weight and has a maximum test area of 1.5 m |
